Are pets allowed in rental properties?

We list properties as “pet-friendly” when we have confirmation from the owner that pets are welcome. However, if a property is not explicitly advertised as pet-friendly, it’s still worth getting in touch, as many landlords are becoming more open to pets due to the growing number of tenants looking for pet-friendly homes.

If you’re planning to bring a pet to Koh Samui—or thinking of adopting one while here—please remember that a pet is a lifelong commitment. Sadly, abandoned animals are an increasing issue on the island. Before getting a pet, we encourage you to research the process of taking your pet with you should you ever decide to move on. A little planning goes a long way in ensuring that your furry companion stays by your side, no matter where life takes you.
